The question of what is happening, is a little up for grabs however. But according to Aeros Facebook Page they are building a new Aeroscraft! Possibly the 250 Ton modal that the Military was hoping to build for logistics. Although it would make more sense to build the 20 ton variant as a stepping stone, and in case funding drys up or other unforeseen problems.
Whatever the case today is a great day!
I'm wondering how their lawsuit against the Navy is going. Quite a few months back they announced that they were suing the Navy for $ 35 million for the damage to their 1st Aeroscraft when the roof feel in.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that a 20 ton version would be a wiser approach. Also saw a PR from them saying they were pursuing investors from the Ukraine, Igor's home country. Good luck with that since they are still fighting a civil war.
I think they were suing for $65 million if I remember correctly. These damn wars going on around the world really show that the nations of the world need to get their act together. Putin needs to acknowledge the ethnic cleansing the USSR did to the Ukrainian people, at the same time these Ukrainian ultra-nationalists are almost as bad as the SS and they need to chill. On top of that we have china saying they own the south China sea and the US challenging that with threats of war... We are getting far too close to a WW3 scenario. It's almost like everyone forgot we have nukes or something.
DeleteIt would be much better if the nations of the world could set aside their differences and build a better future for all of us. But it seems like we have failed to learn the lessons of the old world and we may end up never seeing the airship revolution if the world descends into another damn world war.
God I hope peace wins out in the end, but it's seems like it is less likely by the day. I'm practically an atheist and even I'm preying to God for miracle. Kinda like Rick in that once episode of Rick and Morty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aUowoykENE
